I was raised in the township of eNseleni outside Richards Bay, a place that was ridden with poverty, crime and hopelessness. This was a community that was finding itself in the aftermath of a political war before the 1994 First South African democratic national elections. As a child I had witnessed violence, arson and death. My innocence as a child had been stripped but my hope was not deterred, thanks to my family.
I would grow up and make my dreams come true. Making my dreams come under such conditions is nothing short of a miracle.
After dropping out of University halfway through my studies( that's a story for another day), I had a successful short stint at employment. I was employed in a few successful manufacturing companies however, inside of me there was a dream eild and way out of my comfort zone; NDATHE (Pty) Ltd was born, a multi service business that incorporates concrete precast manufacturing and distribution, General/ homebuilding construction and architectural design. Over the years our business has moved from just a dream to new heights and it continues to grow. The journey has not come without sacrifice, loss and depression. When we look back we say " What a rollercoaster."
It's amazing when we consider the accomplishments we have. We started from painting homes to building school blocks to building malls to building and renovating homes. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would have the type of clientele such as Transnet, Eskom, municipalities, RBIDZ, private companies and individuals.
Perhaps it is worth noting that what puts a smile on our faces the most is turning dust into bricks that we supply to the building industry which inturn builds the magnificent properties worth multiple millions in value.
What makes me happy as the MD is being part of a revolution that raises our beautiful country South Africa from Dust to the stars. Out Revolution continues because of unwavering support from our families, employees, friends, associates and lovely clients.
